Reach New Heights in Aviation, Space, and Defence.
In the aerospace industry, there is zero room for error. Whether you are a precision machinist, a software developer, or a component manufacturer, your commitment to safety and reliability is what keeps the industry moving.
AS9100 is the international quality management standard specifically for the Aviation, Space, and Defence (AS&D) industry. Based on ISO 9001, it adds over 100 additional requirements tailored to the unique demands of aerospace, ensuring the highest levels of traceability, risk management, and product integrity.
At Auva, we provide expert, UKAS-accredited AS9100 auditing that helps you secure your place in the global aerospace supply chain.

Why Your Business Needs AS9100
AS9100 is more than a certification; it is a “license to trade” in the aerospace sector.
Global Supply Chain Access: AS9100 is a mandatory requirement for almost all major aerospace OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Tier 1 suppliers.
OASIS Database Listing: Once certified by Auva, your organisation will be listed in the IAQG OASIS database, giving you worldwide visibility to aerospace buyers looking for verified suppliers.
Enhanced Risk Management: AS9100 forces a deep dive into operational risks—from project management to counterfeit part prevention—protecting your business from costly failures.
Operational Excellence: Improve your internal efficiencies through rigorous control of production, equipment, and special processes.
Dual Certification Efficiency: Because AS9100 is built on the foundation of ISO 9001, Auva provides both certificates simultaneously. If you are already ISO 9001 compliant, you are already 75% of the way there.
The OASIS Database
The Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) is an online database managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) that stores and shares supplier information and performance data. To achieve AS9100 or AS9120 certification, the use of the OASIS database is mandatory, and ongoing maintenance is critical to maintaining certification.
OASIS serves as a repository of information related to aerospace suppliers’ certification and performance, including data on quality management system certification, production facilities, and products or services. Aerospace organisations use OASIS to identify and evaluate suppliers based on their performance history, certification status, and other relevant factors. Certified organisations, certification bodies such as Auva, auditors, training providers, and other relevant parties are registered on the system.
Auditors will provide an introduction to the system during initial assessments, but interested parties can also explore it by clicking here. While it is free to register and view certified organisations, there is a fee to join the system as a certified organisation, which Auva will apply once certification is achieved.
Critical Focus Areas of AS9100
Modern aerospace manufacturing faces evolving challenges. Our audits focus on the areas that matter most to your customers:
Counterfeit Part Prevention: Robust processes to ensure the integrity of your raw materials and electronic components.
Product Safety: Identifying the “Critical Items” in your production that have the greatest impact on safe flight and operation.
Human Factors: Recognising how human error impacts quality and implementing systems to mitigate those risks.
Traceability & The Golden Thread: Ensuring every part and process can be traced back to its origin—essential for accident investigation and quality assurance.
Configuration Management: Managing changes to design and production to ensure the “as-built” matches the “as-designed.”
